Prada is receiving backlash on Social Media by critics who are accusing the company for promoting racism with a coonish style product line.
According to critics, the line features buffoonish style blackface creatures like a dark colored monkey with big red lips and a few more designs reflecting a time from the Jim Crow era.
An African American woman saw the figures displayed in a Prada window and posted it on Social Media, accusing the company of spreading racist blackface imagery. Her postings caused an uproar which lead the store to eventually remove the products from the display window.
